  1. SlideShow 5.0 installation instructions for Windows 3.1, Windows 95 and Win/NT
  2. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 
  3. SlideShow is a Windows/95, Windows 3.1 and Win/NT Screen Saver.
  4. SlideShow will display your favorite JPEG, GIF, BMP, PCX, DIB,
  5. TGA, WMF and TIF(uncompressed) pictures on your screen as a
  6. slide show.  SlideShow will display the pictures using any or all of 112
  7. different fades, wipes and dissolves.  You can attach WAV files to
  8. play with your pictures and create professional looking presentations.
  9. Pictures can be dispayed randomly or in a specified sequence (Custom SlideShow).
  10. Password protection is provided.

  12. This program requires VBRUN300.DLL to be in you windows/system directory.
  13. Odds are that you have this file.  If you don't, you can download it from:
  14. http://www.mcs.net/~cmbsoft/vbrun300.dll

  16. INSTALLATION STEPS
  17. ==================
  18. 1) Unzip SLDSHO50.ZIP into a temporary directory.
  19.  
  20. 2) Run the file SETUP.EXE from the temporary directory.
  21.  
  22.  ** NOTE **  If you recieve the message:
  23.  "WARNING  Cannot copy DDEML.DL_ because it is already active on your system"
  24.  
  25. This message is OK!  It just means you already have this file on
  26. your system. Just click on the "OK" button and continue the install.

  29. 3) The install program will copy the SlideShow files to your system.

  32. 4) When the install program is finished the message "Installation Complete"
  33.    will be displayed.  SlideShow is now active on your system. 
  34.    Click on "OK".

  37. 5) A program group called "SlideShow 5.0" will be created and 6 Icons will be placed
  38.    into it.  These Icons will allow you to:
  39.    1) Configure SlideShow.
  40.    2) Start SlideShow manualy.
  41.    3) View the SlideShow Help and Information file.
  42.    4) View and Print the Registration Information using the
  43.       Windows text editor.
  44.    5) Convert your V4.x Custom SlideShow to V5.0 Format
  45.    6) Uninstall SlideShow

  47.    SlideShow defaults to displaying random pictures from your
  48.    Windows directory.  To change the defaults and options,
  49.    double click on the SlideShow configuration icon.

  51.    The HELP file will tell you how to customize SlideShow.  I
  52.    suggest clicking on the HELP icon in the "SlideShow 5.0"
  53.    program group and reading the introduction.

  56. 6) If you want password protection on the screen saver click the "PASSWORD"
  57.    button on the Global Options screen.  A password screen will
  58.    be displayed where you can enter and verify your password.

  60. 7) Installation is now complete.

  63. 8) For registration information, click on the SlideShow registration icon.
